Domestic Drift


There is nothing necessarily “natural” about the unadorned and unamplified human voice. It is an ambiguous body-voice-technology relation unfolding in a performance.
Released during the lockdown, I became more invested in exploring the sounds created accompanied by softwares and the sonic potentialities of the vocal sounds filtered, modulated and distorted by computer. I turned this experience into a short fiction and an audiovisual installation that came together in a video where sound beats react unpredictably in a prosodic surface to a spirited text.
